Founding Story

GetTogether was founded by Alex Magnusson and Adam Garratt, who first met while studying at the University of Canterbury. Back then, they often wished there was an easier way to discover the best local pubs, bars, and music venues—especially the hidden gems and the events happening right on their doorstep.

Fast forward to today, that same frustration still exists. Too often, people miss out on great nights because they simply don’t know what’s on nearby. Alex and Adam created GetTogether to solve that problem: a single app that helps people discover new venues, enjoy new experiences, and make the most of every night out.
